2004
performance
30min ,100_ Berlin, Hebbel am Ufer 3, Berlin, Germany/Hefei, China
The performance takes place simultaneously in Berlin and in Hefei. The German proverb (“A sack of rice falls over in China and nobody cares about it”)
is literally transformed into reality. In Berlin the audience experiences an empty room with a signal lamp
installed in its middle and loud minimal electronic music. The audience has been given the information
that the lamp will be switched on at the very moment a sack of rice falls over in China. A Chinese performer makes the sack of rice (25 kg) fall over and at
the same time gives a signalto the performer in Berlin, whereupon the lamp is switched on and the
music is turned off. A chance generator determines the exact moment of the fall.

elvis & the 9 worlds 2002
performance for 9 performers
start: november 2002 , ongoing ReykjavÌk, Iceland
A score of 100 performances is carried out by performer 1 in different
places,
in- and outdoors. A photograph is taken of each performance. The 100
pictures are given as a photo-score to the next performer with the instruction
to repeat the performances as exactly as possible. Performer 2 passes
his 100 pictures on to performer 3 and so on. In the end, performer 1 uses the photo-score of performer 9 to perform
once more, thus concluding the circle.

amok #2 2002
performance
50 min, gallery rosinski, Berlin, Germany
A black Fiat Panda had been placed in the centre of the gallery. It
has been filled
with white balloons containing liquid soap.
I use a crowbar to smash the car, the balloons burst and the soap spills
all over the floor. The performance ends
when I have caused all the damage on the car that I can. Via loudspeaker, the audience can hear the speaking clock of the German
Telecom continuously announcing the actual time for the duration of the performance.
